The Battle of Mount Emei (Emei vs. Sessou)

There is a rare grass in Wulin; it’s not really a grass but more of an herb. It grows by the lake. This herb is toxic to humans, once ingested, can alter the mind and bring out the aggression of man.

The Samurai princess of Sessou, also known as XiaoYao Pai in Wulin, came from an honorable clan in Japan, but the princess refused to married the Shogun and eloped with the Samurai along with his followers to China. When they arrive in Wulin, they were too poor to buy anything; therefore they fed themselves the herb by the lake. Slowly, it had turned them more and more aggressive.

Emei Pai had dwelled peacefully in Wulin for decades. The family oriented sect, is always into their own family business. They didn’t mind the neighboring foreigners from Japan and co-inhabit with them peacefully at the beginning. Until one day, the Emei Jiaozhu was on the mount and was attacked by two Sessou fighters. Severely wounded, the Emei leader declared revenge. Finally, a battle was set on a bloody Friday.

Days before the battle, Lin Kuei Pai, the leader is the son of the Emei Jiaozhu. He went off on his own and formed the Lin Kuei Pai along with his wife. Lin Kueis are the guardian spirits of Wulin. They see injustice done and correct them. They burnt the Sessou Dojo and their shops. Causing the Sessou to refocus on Lin Kuei. One night, a Sessou leader raided Lin Kuei leader’s castle and did despicable acts to their home.

Because the madness had deeply infested the Sessou clan, to assure their winning, they recruited the best fighter in Wulin. Emei Pai was not prepared for the bulliness of Sessou. Mostly are Tudi (students) who are defending for the Emei family. Sessou clan is full of good fighters and samurais from Japan. Surely, without the recruitment of the best fighter in Wulin, Sessou would easily win. When Jiaozhu saw the Wulin fighter, she was deeply hurt, because she had always respected this fighter and treated her kindness. Now she sees her siding with the Sessou bullies, with a deep sigh, she shakes her head and regains her posture for the battle. By now, the herb had sickened Sessou’s honorable minds; they started the battle by throwing Kunai (暗器) at the Emei fighters along with insults. But Emei Pai held strong against the Sessou bullies, they held their heads high and fought their best…. and perished one by one under the ruthless Sessou blades. Emei regrouped for the second round. This time, one of the Samurais used a healing potion to heal himself, which considers as a disgrace act in the Wulin community. Again. Emei Pai has been beaten. But, their spirit lives on. Since they are the backbone of Wulin, they will recuperate and fight the Sessou bullies once again! After the battle, the Sessou has expanded their land and move out of Wulin.

Kafka Moody formed Emei Pai in Mt Emei to introduce Chinese martial arts fighting styles and traditions. Chinese MenPai or Sects are mostly family run schools of martial arts. The Japanese Samurai swords are used in C:SI, hence the Japanese clans. The Chinese sparring style is similar to the weapons in C:SI. Emei Pai is now residing in Wulin.

Porcelete Gossipgirl – Jiaozhu’s niece, married off to another land. A favorite of Jiaozhu, who yearns for her visit back to her homeland.

Anika2 Eals – The niece who left the sect and returned. Half drama maker but a good heart and seek constant attention. Until now, no one knows of her age.

Siblings:

Dazy Shepard – She was another counselor for the Jiaozhu at times of needs.

Persephone Nagy – The sister who is constantly traveling far away but in good relations with the Jiaozhu.

Shifus 师父:

Doleragon Merryman – Once a companion to the Jiaozhu who comes to visit Emei when he is not busy with other affairs. He is an old master of the old school, patient and diligent. When he is not negative, he is pleasant and charming to be with.

Kei Whitfield – Mysterious and cute in appearance, strong in Wushu, but evasive at times. No one really knows what she is about.

Fiya Hyun – Quick and decisive in her kills. She is a great builder in her own right. She travels a lot and often not at Wulin.

Mik Sears – A Master builder from another land who resided near Wulin and became one of the Shifu. He is still building the Chinese garden and scholar library next to Wulin.

Avo Sautereau – Jiaozhu’s honorable No. 1 son who’s charm and charisma had taken the entire member of Emei Pai. Eventually, the Jiaozhu would like him to take over the school. He is diligent and dedicated to C:SI and the entire Emei family.

Assistant Shifu (Fu Jiao) 副教:

Nerdpretty Bookmite – Second daughter of Jiaozhu, she is extremely cute looking like her older sister, Geekonut, almost a twin. She is known in the double blade swords and strong fearless kicks.

Zeph Fall – Youngest daughter of Jiaozhu, she is in her own little world lately, very close to her 2^nd sister. She is more interested in making things than sparring at the moment..

Disciples ( Mentu) 门徒:

Masaru Itano – Da ShiGe , Big older brother– 大师哥 – Semi-retired, hopefully, he will return soon and spar with his collegues.

Rachel Gelles – Da ShiJie – Big older sister – 大师姐 – Left Emei Pai and return for visit once in a while

Students (Tudi) 徒弟 :

Geekonut Redstar – Da ShiMei – Big ShiMei – 大师妹- the oldest daughter of Jiaozhu. Beautiful, happy and kind nature, she is married off to another land to a foreign vampire, Eric Bissel. Most of the time, she tends to her marital duties but often comes home to visit and be her mother’s consultant.

Tienshan Quan – Da ShiDi – Big ShiDi–大师弟- The second son of Jiaozhu, inherited her mother’s moody side, he is moody and enjoys being alone. He found a Companion, Beige Meads, and lives happily with her outside of Wulin. He is starting his own sect in Wulin, but still in Emei Pai.

Ratatosken Karu - Er ShiDi - Second ShiDi -二师弟- Already well trained in martial arts, he comes to Emei learning the CSI system. Wife Shari Dover who has progress greatly in Emei Pai also in the school.

Bergkzwerck Waechter – San ShiDi – Third ShiDi -三师弟 - Not far behind Rata, he is catching up fast. Wife Sarsi Morane is also in the school.

Javierito Noel – Si ShiDi – Fourth ShiDi –四师弟 - Jovial , young and dedicated, learning after Avo, becoming strong fighter.

VeNuSMaRTe Auer– Er ShiMei –Second ShiMei – 二师妹 – A crazy little elf happens to love to hang out and guard the Wulin grounds, who has quickly learn the art of sword fighting.

Enno Nexen – Wu ShiDi - Fifth Shidi – 五师弟 - Quiet, good nature, learning under Mik Sears.

Brotso Nyoki – Liu ShiDi – Sixth ShiDi – 六师弟 – New to Emei pai, lots of potentials

Gennaro Teodosio –Qi ShiDi – Seventh ShiDi – 七师弟 – Quick and charming nature that charms everyone in the family. Jiaozhu adopted him as a son.

Qlimas Viper -Ba ShiDi -Eighth ShiDi – 八师弟 – The Vampire in the family who has his own vampire clan. A good Vampire warrior.

Wave Melody – -San ShiMei –Third ShiMei – 三师妹 – Came from a foreign land, Wave is a little woman with deadly skills. She has quickly gained respect from the family.

The Hunt for the Assassins

The Jade Empress turned over her grave and appeared to the people of Wulin. She announced a Hunt for the assassins who participated in her assassination. One assassin, Qui Chuji, who thought the Empress had sent out an order to destroyed his village, finds out at the funeral that it was the Tianshan Tonglao of Tianshan Pai who killed his entire village and family. He then publicly repented and claimed he will hunt all the assassins down. Bei Yuan Ying comes back to Wulin and claims the throne after the Empress’s death. She is hunted with double wager on her life. In the very beginning of the hunt, two of the Empress’s best guards were killed by the ruthless Kaede and Hatch, two assassins who have top Gong Fu. They continue to slain many bounty hunters, until a mysterious swordsman appears in Wulin. No one knows him, suspicion starts to emerge in Wulin. Some even thought he is an incarnation of the Empress’s unsettled spirit. Full of rage and force, he takes down each assassin, one by one. First Bei Yuan Ying, then Kaede. He appears to be ill mannered in his words and actions. Who is this Brute with such a force? Rumors spread and created. Anger and mistrust formed upon the bounty hunters and swordsmen of Wulin. There is also a wager set by the assassins to kill this mystery swordsman. Meanwhile, Hatch is beating all the contenders who have challenged him. Not until an apprentice from Emei Pai, Ye Zhen Yan, with her young bold kicking style of the twin blade, she finally takes the head of this vicious killer.

Eventually, all the assassins had been killed or flee Wulin. The Empress finally rests and ascends to the Gods. When the Jade Empress had reached Godhood, she revived the all the dead, included the Assassins and the bounty hunters. Hopefully, Wulin can be in peace again. There is a search for the next Emperor of Wulin. Words are who ever it is, the Jade Goddess will appear in their dreams.

The Assassination of the Jade Empress

After Kaede, a who slayed the outlaw Kenjiro. Wulin was peaceful. But under all the quietness, an assassination was brewing. Someone had put a wager on Jade Empress’s life.

It was a beautiful sunny day, the Jade Empress was taking a stroll at her Imperial pavilion. A woman dressed in red came up to her. She was Bei Ying Yuan. When Bei Ying Yuan saw the Jade Empress, she cried out, “Mother!” This had surprised the Jade Empress. Jade Empress looks at her, appalled, “ How dare you!” “Only my real mother has that dragon talisman you are wearing, your highness!” The Empress lets out a laugh, “ How can you be my daughter? Be Gone!” The Imperial Guard chased Bei away.

Slowly, a crowd had formed down the hill. They were the assassins who want to claim the Jade Empress’s life.

The Jade Empress angrily denounce them, “Why do you want to kill me?” “Because someone put a wager on your life!” One of the Assassins answered.

The Assassins run up the hill and attack.. The Imperial guards defend the Empress gallantly. But, unfortunately, all either perished or wounded under the Assassin’s blades. Finally, Bei Ying Yuan puts in the last slash on the Jade Empress that ends her life. When the Jade Empress fell to the ground, she looks into Bei’s hateful eyes in disbelieve. The scene of the Emperor drinking the deadly tea in front of her flashes by her eyes, she drops onto the ground and finally realizes something familiar with Bei’s eyes. But is is all too late.

The Jade Empress is dead.

Wulin Chronicles

Wulin, an alternate universe that reflects the world we live today. A universe that has its own timeline, its own intellectual design, its own perception of reality, dictates a world beyond our speculations.

On the year of the Ox, Wulin was created by the Jade Empress on an island call Penghu. There are 5 major sects in this microcosm. Three alliances, Emei Pai, Wudang Pai and Shaolin Pai. Two evil sects, Ming cult and Tianshan Pai. As in all balances of nature, there are always evil within the good and good within the evil. There are also wanderers, peasants, beggars and assassins roaming around in Wulin.

The land is basically peaceful without any disturbance. Occasional assassination attempts by Tianshan Tonglao and her minions during the Jade Empress’s night strolls, otherwise, Wulin is a wonderland with its mountains and water. The Jade Empress has a bad habit of sneaking out late at night, while her imperial guards are not around. One night, the Empress was working on her land, creating things, making sure the market is running fine. A sea of arrows landed on her side. Tonglao is attacking her again. Tianshan Tonglao is the beautiful but wicked leader of Tianshan pai, residing on the highest mountain in Wulin is TianShan Pai’s Ling Jiu Palace. Tianshan Tonglao is ancient in age but still in a body of a young maiden. She leads a league of beautiful women who serves under her pleasure. Sadistic and ruthless in their styles, they inherit a secret weapon, the Life and Death Seal that will suck a third of the poor victim’s life force out of them. Their mission is not to kill their opponents, but to capture them and torture them to Tonglao’s entertainment. Rumor has it that Tonglao will torture her victims and drink their blood to enhance her Wu Gong. They are also the main nuisances for the Jade Empress.

This night, when Tonglao and one of her minion attacked the Empress, Bei Yuan Ying happens to be in Wulin. Bei learnt her wushu style from Master Wang, with white crane style. After she is old enough she wanders in Jianghu by herself and enter the Wulin world. It is here in Wulin, where she had picked up her own technique of wushu and met the Empress by chance.

With Bei’s help, the Empress had escaped from the apparent assassins and befriended Bei. Not knowing Bei too long, the Empress did not invite the young one to her imperial court, instead she extends out an invitation to Bei.

SL Film Collaborative

This is a Second Life experimental project on Machinima style shooting on Second Life interactive on-line community. The Project consists of participants on line in SL and build, script writing, shoot, act , music, production all within the limits of the metaverse.

The first project will be Wulin Chronicles:

The entire script will be a collaboration of interactive characters written by individual players in the Wulin Sim. Wulin is a Chinese martial art Role Playing sim with C:SI nad DCS weapons that consists of swords, spears, bows.

All the participants will create their own character card and base on their story background, the stories will be written into the script. The script will develop along with the drama unfolding slowly as the RP taking place.

This Blog will record the projects progress and information for the players.
